When do new students begin?
U.S. Taekwondo Academy - Knoxville offers open enrollment so new students are welcome to start any class during the week.
How many classes per week can I attend?
U.S. Taekwondo Academy – Knoxville offers classes four days a week. Students are welcome to attend as many classes as they wish. We recommend a minimum of two classes per week
Will my child become too aggressive if he studies the martial arts?
Children learn that Taekwondo is not about violence but about developing skills they can use safely in a tough situation. Any aggression the child brings into the program usually disappears with continued training and increased self-esteem.

Are children and adults in the same class together?
No, children and adults learn at a different pace. Our kids classes are for children ages seven to nine and our adult classes are for ages ten and up
What is the right age to start at USTKD?
We welcome and encourage students from seven years old and up.
Is it ok to observe one or more classes for myself or my child prior to enrolling?
Yes! Prospective students, friends, and family are always welcome to observe classes and belt promotion tests at U.S. Taekwondo Academy - Knoxville. No prior permissions or arrangements need to be made. Just come and make yourself at home. Seating is available overlooking the training floor. We do ask that you respect the students during their training by refraining from cell phone use and loud conversations
What is The Kukkiwon?
Kukkiwon (국기원; 國技院), also known as World Taekwondo Headquarters, and home of the World Taekwondo Academy, is the official Taekwondo governing organization established by the South Korean government. It is supervised by the International Sports Division of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. All of our black belts are officially registered with the Kukkiwon.
